7 Podcasts Every Boater Should Be Listening To

It’s hard to read a book while piloting a boat or fishing. That’s why podcasts are so great. You can get content without having to flip pages or take your eyes off the water. Of course, you can also listen to them in your car or around the house, but as a boater, you probably want to spend most of your time in your boat.

South Florida boat dealers, take note here. Do you want to be well informed and up to date when customers walk in? Then, listen to boating podcasts. Regardless of your reasons for listening, you need to know which ones are worth your time.

1.     World of Boating Radio Show

You’ll find WOB at the top of most “best boating podcast” lists. Now, technically, it’s a syndicated radio show that gets recorded and uploaded as a podcast for people who don’t catch it live, but it’s a quality program.

The hosts bring up boating news and info, devoting themselves to all things boats. They’re funny, too, so even your non-boater friends will enjoy them.

2.   Boating Insights

Based out of Sydney, Australia, the Boating Insights podcast is produced by Above and Beyond Boating. They began making the podcast to teach proper and safe boating techniques, and their passion is evident in every episode. It’s almost like taking a boating course but through your earbuds.

3.   Anchors Aweigh

No matter your boating experience level, you’ll get a kick out of Anchors Aweigh.

The podcast is hosted by Matt O’Hara, owner of the Freedom Boat Club Lake George. He shares his experiences about how boating has brought friends and family together, as well as conversations with boating experts and industry leaders in every episode.

4.   Boating Tips Live

Presented by MarineMax, Boating Tips LIVE with Captain Keith and Captain Nick does actually broadcast live. They do this so they can take listener questions during the broadcast. If you’re looking for a more interactive experience with your boating podcasts, this one’s for you.

5.   From the Helm

From the Helm is hosted by Lisa Harrison, a lifelong passionate boating enthusiast. Like Boating Tips LIVE, this one is also presented by MarineMax. It features interviews with important figures in yachting and boating.

If you have some downtime and don’t have to actively pilot your boat, take your eyes off the water and enjoy that From The Helm is also a video podcast.

6.   Boat Buyer’s Secret Weapon Podcast

If you’re in the market to buy a boat, this is your podcast. In the Boat Buyer’s Secret Weapon Podcast, Captain Matt discusses boating news and tips and covers all of the stuff you would ever want to know when purchasing a boat

You’ll get market updates, information on choosing the best boat dealers, and advice when buying specific kinds of boats, such as pontoon boats.

7.   The Boat Princess Podcast

The Boat Princess herself, Nicky Vaux, hosts this podcast as a way to engage more women to become fellow boating enthusiasts. Hear interviews with new guests every episode, boating news and tips, and Nicky’s Australian accent. She also posts compelling content on her Instagram page.

South Florida Boat Dealers – Become Podcast Fans!

When customers search for boat dealers in West Palm Beach (or anywhere else, for that matter), they want a dealer who knows their stuff. Customers are won over when they say something like, “I heard them say on the Boating Insights Podcast…” and the dealer responds, “I love that podcast! I listen all the time!”
